چکیده
Bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is an important cereal grown in the highlands of Ethiopia. Various biotic and abiotic stresses affected production productivity wheat. From stresses, yellow rust stem disease that caused by Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici graminis are among devastating bottlenecks. Therefore, a field experiment was done at two highland Guji zone (Bore Ana Sora) under rain-fed condition during 2019/20 main cropping season to evaluate effects different fungicides on diseases, yield components bread The treatments consisted five including standard check nil application using variety Kubsa. A randomized complete block design with three replications used conduct up experiment. partial budget analysis carried out assess financial profitability fungicide for management rusts. Analysis results revealed significantly growth parameters attributes except date heading maturity. Fungicide spray reduced both rusts (yellow stem) diseases severity lowest level increment over application. minimum recorded from test Take-Off 293% SC while maximum were unsprayed plot. There significant difference (p < 5%) grain yield, biomass thousand seed weight, plant height, spike length between control/nil highest (2738 kg/ha) obtained sprayed plots (987 better advantage than Check control about 5.6 63.95, respectively. Moreover, all applications showed considerable untreated plots. controlled effectively increasing based analysis, control, which leads optimum decreasing can be recommended study area other areas similar agro-ecologies.

To investigate the effect of yellow rust disease on some agronomic and physiological characteristics of bread wheat cultivars, two field experiments were conducted in Agricultural Research Station of Miandoab in West Azerbaijan, Iran, in 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 cropping seasons. Experimental treatments were arranged as factorial in randomized complete block design with three replications. Treat...

Stem rust caused by Puccinia graminis f.sp tritici Erik. & E. Henn. is a highly destructive disease of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). The effects of fungicide application on stem rust (Puccinia graminis tritici) epidemics and yield of three bread wheat varieties varying in reaction to the disease were studied in two major wheat growing and stem rust prone districts (Agarfa and Sinana) of Bale, E...
متن کاملResistance Potential of Bread Wheat Genotypes Against Yellow Rust Disease Under Egyptian Climate
Yellow rust (stripe rust), caused by Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici, is one of the most destructive foliar diseases of wheat in Egypt and worldwide. In order to identify wheat genotypes resistant to yellow rust and develop molecular markers associated with the resistance, fifty F8 recombinant inbred lines (RILs) derived from a cross between resistant and susceptible bread wheat landraces w...

Fungal diseases, especially leaf and stripe rusts are wheat yield reducing factors in Iran and the world. In this study, genetic diversity of 20 wheat varieties with different response to leaf and stripe rusts were studied using primers designed based on the conserved regions of plant disease resistance genes. The banding patterns of polymorphic markers were scored as dominant and number of amp...
